Welcome to Mormon Fork Creek Ranch

A South Asian girl with a cosmopolitan upbringing walks into a farmhouse in small town USA. This is not the beginning of a joke, just the background to the varied stories you'll read in my blog.

By the time I was 22 I had lived in six countries across four continents. I'd lived in small towns, big cities, on island nations surrounded by tropical beaches, and in land-locked countries at high altitudes. But I'd never lived in a truly rural setting.

That changed in 2017 when I married into a family with multi-generational farming roots in Adrian, Missouri. Not long after, during the early months of the pandemic, when the rest of the country was learning how to make sourdough bread and binge-watching The Tiger King, my husband and I decided to buy a couple of goats and pursue our long talked about dream of raising meat goats.

I'm a Statistician by training, a Clinical Programmer by profession, and a knitter/goat farmer by choice. I've been knitting since I was in my early teens but it wasn't until I got laid off recently that I was able to indulge in my long time desire to turn it into a business in which I could share my woolly creations with people outside my indulgent family.

Join me on my adventures in knitting, goat farming, cooking, and being bossed around by my three cats.
